It is a matter of great concern that settling political scores inside the law making arena is highly critical and leads to fierce arguments and scathing speeches irrespective of the merits of the proposed legislation. We are slow because our leaders have been busy settling scores at higher levels instead of coming together with rational ideas for the public in general. It is the duty of the opposition party to oppose but it can also adopt the method of constructive criticism for the purpose of speedy legislation but that is not being done. Hurls, abuses, shouting, blame games, cynicism, distasteful comments etc have occupied the prime time of law making process. It is also a fact that necessary decorum is not maintained in the temple of democracy and often that is seen live in the television or internet. People elect their representatives to represent them in the highest law making arena but the representatives get busy in fulfilling their own agenda by ignoring the cause of the public.
The biggest flaw is that we have no synchronization as to what portfolio one would handle as per his/her educational qualification or experience but it is the prerogative of the heads of the ruling party to assign several portfolios. When so many confused people argue with each other then there is no consensus except disagreements and delays. In order to be precise and perfect one needs to have firm knowledge about a specific topic and then he can justify his ideas but if the contrary exists then god is the only saviour. When a common man applies for a job, he is selected after rigorous examination and interview based upon his qualifications but when a person is elected then no such procedure is followed and that needs to be done away with for the larger interest of the nation lest we will become a nation moving ahead in a snail's pace and this would become impossible to avoid and overcoming such pathetic situation would be another cumbersome and herculean task altogether.
